Meet the Board

  • Greg Call

    Greg is Deputy Attorney General at the California Department of Justice and an adjunct professor at UC Hastings College of Law. Greg initiated the ongoing Bay Area Mormon Studies Council Speaker Series in 2012 to encourage dialogue about gospel topics and lives in Piedmont.

  • David Longhurst

    David is the retired Treasurer of Dodge & Cox Funds, serves on the Board of Governors of the Interfaith Council of Contra Costa County, the Board of the Interfaith Council of Alameda County, and the Advisory Board of United Way of the Bay Area. He lives in the Danville/Alamo area.

  • Howard Pearson

    Howard is the Senior Philanthropic Advisor and Development Legal Counsel in the Office of Development at Stanford University where he also teaches in the Law School. Howard lives in Palo Alto.

  • Camilla Smith

    Camilla is principal of Smith Research Associates was on the University president's executive committee for the College of Creative Arts capital campaign. She is a member of the Bay Area Public Affairs Executive Committee for the church and serves on the boards of PBS, the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, and the UC Berkeley Library. Camilla lives in San Francisco.

  • Craig Stewart

    Craig is a partner at the law firm of Jones Day and is a member of the Advisory Council for the Family Violence Appellate Project, which provides pro bono legal services to domestic violence survivors. He has been affiliated with the Bay Area Mormon Studies Council since its inception. He lives in Walnut Creek.

  • Dean Criddle, Outside Counsel

    Dean Criddle is an attorney with the San Francisco-based law firm Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP. Dean assisted in organizing the BAMSC as a nonprofit, public benefit corporation under California law and in obtaining a tax-exempt (Section 501(c)(3)) determination letter from the Internal Revenue Service. He lives in the Oakland/Berkeley area.
