Interreligious Learning at the
Graduate Theological Union

The Graduate Theological Union (GTU), located just north of the UC Berkeley campus and the Latter-day Saint Institute of Religion, is the most comprehensive center for the graduate study of religion in North America. Working with GTU leadership, the Council is working to establish a major center for Latter-day Saint/Mormon Studies to engage in interfaith dialogue and to play a dynamic role in inter-religious activities centered at GTU.

The Council acknowledges Bob Rees’ pioneering efforts in serving at GTU for many years as a Visiting Professor and Director of Mormon Studies.  Bob has taught at UCLA, UC Santa Cruz, and UC Berkeley and has long been recognized for his contributions to Mormon Studies.

With the support of the Council, GTU recently hired Dr. Deidre Nicole Green, a practicing Latter-day Saint, as Assistant Professor of Mormon Studies.

Dr. Deidre Nicole Green
